Tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a Musical Theatre graduate from Edinburgh with a passion for both shaking and drinking cocktails! Since October, I’ve worked as the Front of House Manager at Multiply.

Did you always want to work in marketing? What other jobs have you had throughout the years?

Working in a marketing environment was a new venture for me and I am currently appreciating and enjoying the experience! In between performing as part of an Abba Tribute Band and playing the Principal Boy in Pantomime, I established a career in hospitality. Completing my London “bar school” training, I became a bartender in a lively cocktail venue in the City. Following that, I waited tables at Planet Hollywood, progressing to Head Trainer of the Front of House staff. I moved back to Edinburgh to settle in my home town and worked as Assistant Reception Manager at Tigerlily Hotel. Tigerlily is still my favourite “go to” cocktail bar in Edinburgh. My very first job however, was working in Hamleys Toys within the celebrated Jenners Store. Aged 16, I was the Hamleys Bear who handed out balloons and engaged with tourists on Princes Street.

What’s your mantra?

Hakuna Matata! I love the Lion King and remember collecting all the Disney films on VHS! The actual philosophy is to put things into perspective. Things don’t always go according to plan, but don’t worry because life goes on.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m a member of the Bohemians Lyric Opera Company. During our recent show, Footloose, at the King’s Theatre, it was great to have my fellow Multipliers in the audience cheering me on. My next performance will be in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival concert “Bohemians Reimagined’ - a genderbend/miscast show putting a twist on popular show tunes.

Who would be at your dinner party past or present?

Audrey Hepburn- A fashion icon and true inspiration. She was told she would never become a prima ballerina but with her determination and ambition she became a successful actress and humanitarian. I think she would have some fantastic stories to tell.

Lea Salonga- She would provide wonderful vocal talents as the dinner party entertainment. Lea was the singing voice of Disney’s Mulan and Princess Jasmine. She also originated the lead role of Kim in Miss Saigon and played Eponine in Les Misérables- two of my favourite musicals.
